Below are some common disorders and conditions that we have successfully treated, giving patients back their mobility and ability to live a pain-free life.
Sciatica refers to pain that is usually located down the length of one leg. It can be described as burning, shooting or as a shock, and is a symptom of a medical problem. Sciatic pain is caused by irritation, injury or compression on the sciatic nerve. Most people will experience some form of sciatica in their life time, and it usually responds well when the underlying cause is effectively treated. Common causes of sciatica include disc issues and bone spurs occurring on the vertebra.
Bursitis is the painful condition that occurs when the bursae that cushions the joint become inflamed. This is common in the hip, knees and shoulders and can cause limited mobility in the effected joint. This condition responds well to treatment and the outcome for most people is very good.
Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis because it's the wearing down on the joints that do the heavy lifting in our bodies, commonly in our knees, hips and hands. As the cartilage wears away, fiction causes the bones that begin to rub together to actually change shape. Maintaining proper body alignment, a healthy weight and medical management are all non-surgical options for treating osteoarthritis.
Tendinitis is often caused by repetitive movement, poor posture, or a sudden, jarring movement. When a tendon is irritated, repetitive motion or over-use exasperates inflammation, causing pain. Proper body alignment, medication and physical therapy are all positive interventions for acute or chronic tendinitis.
You’ll be able to tell when it’s time to see a doctor about your knee pain as you’ll likely experience unusual noises while walking, redness or swelling, difficulty straightening your leg, weakness, stiffness, fever, fracturing, and more.
At Greentree Medical Center, we provide individualized treatment plans that decrease your pain and improve your motion and strength. The goal is to restore function in your knees or hips. Don’t become dependent on medication. Count on Greentree Medical Center for regenerative medicine and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment. PRP involves taking your own blood, removing the inessentials, and injecting it back into the problem area. The platelets, growth factors, and cytokines will help you heal faster.
